The success of K-Dramas drove innovation in the industry. International collaborations became more common with non-Korean actors starting to appear in Korean film productions. An example is “Snowdrop” (2021) which featured Thai Idol Bambam in a supporting role.

Streaming platforms also continue to innovate in the way they present K-Dramas. Some are developing real-time subtitling features integrated discussion forums to enhance the viewer experience.
